Pendel Brass of The Salvation Army, Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Division, will be hosting a 'Reading Band Session' in Philadelphia on Sunday June 15th.
Symphony Sounds
Entitled, 'Symphony Sounds' it is open to brass band musicians who wish to enjoy finding out more as well as enjoying playing through classical music transcriptions for the medium in a friendly, inclusive environment.
Come on down
Edward Mylechreest, Divisional Music & Creative Arts Director, told 4BR: "The baton will be brought down at 3:00pm at Philadelphia Kroc Center, 4400 Wissahickon Avenue with the ensemble looking at 'New World Symphony' (Dvorak), 'Scheherazade/Kaleidoscope' (Rimsky-Korsakov/Bowen), 'Nimrod' (Elgar), 'Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral' (Wagner) — plus two 'Salvation Army Symphonies' — 'Pastoral Symphony' (Redhead) and 'Symphony of Thanksgiving' (Goffin)."
