Williams to lead Aldbourne at majors

Glyn Williams will lead Aldbourne Band at the British Open, National Finals and Brass in Concert later this year.

West of England Regional Champion, Aldbourne has confirmed that MD Glyn Williams will lead them in their performances at the British Open, National Final and Brass in Concert later this year.

It follows the news that the Welshman was to step down from his solo euphonium role at Cory Band this summer. Associated with Aldbourne since 2018, he led the band to West of England Regional Championships success in March.

The band stated that he takes the baton for the contests from Ivan Meylemans and Katrina Marzella-Wheeler, with them adding: "Until now, Glyn has been a huge part of our preparation for these contests, and we will be thrilled to finally share the stage with him!"
