Mike Lovatt's Brass Pack will launch its new album today.
It follows a special event held at the University of West London on Tuesday evening which gave fans and supporters a brilliant taster of the release.
Pack of quality
Mike's 'Pack' is made up of 25 of the UK's top instrumentals who were joined by the renowned big band singers Louise Clare Marshall and Matt Ford for the recording that was made at Birmingham Town Hall last year.
Now you relive all those highlights time and again — the release packed with crowd-pleasers such as a 'Sinatra Overture', 'Miss Otis Regrets', 'I'm Gonna Live Til I Die', 'Dindi', 'I've Got The World On A String', 'In the Still of the Night', 'Young at Heart', 'Frank and Ella', and much, much more — with all the music expertly arranged by Mike's collaborator Colin Skinner.
Inspiration
Louise Clare Marshall and Matt Ford bring a taste of even more stardust quality as the 'The Pack' inspired by the iconic 1958 Capitol Records Album 'Billy May's Big Fat Brass' go into overdrive mode, delivering performances packed with nostalgic and innovation.
Speaking to 4BR Mike Lovatt said: "Colin Skinner and I have always admired Billy May's music and in particular that iconic 1958 album with its unique line-up, featuring the cream of Hollywood studio musicians.
Since then, we've gone on to perform live to packed houses throughout the UK so you can imagine we couldn't wait to get this new album released!"
