The organisers of the Northern Counties Brass Band Association Entertainment Contest have confirmed that they have made the difficult decision to cancel its proposed event which was scheduled for Sunday 18th May.
No alternative
NCBBA President Jim Wishart stated: "This decision was not taken lightly, but in view of low entries and financial constraints we had no alternative but to cancel.
Our secretary, Tori Chamberlain will contact all bands soon to try and gauge the reasons for the low entry, which we hope will give us new ideas for the contest in 2026."
