There is a great opportunity to learn from one of the best cornet players in the business in Birmingham this weekend.

Cornet soloist Kirsty Abbotts will lead a special Brass Masterclass in Birmingham this weekend.

Run by the West Midlands Brass Bands Association (WMBBA) it will be open to brass players of all standards and instruments from across the region. It takes place on Saturday, 26th April at Selly Park Tavern in Birmingham.

Inspiring

A spokesperson told 4BR: "This special event promises to be an inspiring and educational experience, offering direct insight from one of the UK's finest soloists."

Elements to be explored include warm-ups & practice routines, technique & musicality, performance & expert coaching. Observers are also welcome and there will be a special Question & Answer session to close alongside a short performance from Kirsty.
