The Directors of Kapitol Promotions recently represented the brass band movement at a special reception hosted by His Majesty King Charles III at Windsor Castle.

The event was held to acknowledge the work and commitment of various national and community organisations in enriching music making in the UK.

National patronage

Kapitol Promotions owns and runs the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, an event which recently saw 479 bands take to stage for its series of qualification events, and which will culminate with the National Finals at Cheltenham and London later this year.

The Championships receive Royal Patronage — one that was renewed by the current Monarch on his ascension to the throne.

Following a short concert, the royal party met with performers and representatives in the Castle's St George's Hall.
