Foden's return home in time for Euro travels

The newly crowned North West Regional Champions have returned to a new 'old' home in time to prepare for their European trip to Stavanger.

FODEN'S
Foden's players have immediately felt at home in their new 'old' surroundings

The newly crowned North West Regional Champion Foden's Band will prepare for their forthcoming European Championship title assault at a new 'old' home.

It follows the need to vacate their former premises at Bradwall Hall in Sandbach which had been their home since 2016, due to a change in the building's use by the landlord.

Initially, and despite help from the local community, Sandbach Town Council and Cheshire East the band were unable to source a new long term premises that accommodated their needs. Temporary help came from a number of sources, but now the band is delighted to be able to return to its former home in Moston in Sandbach.

Historical link

Speaking about the search Band Manager Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "Due to being based in the Sandbach area since 1902 it was paramount that we remained.

During our search we were grateful to numerous bands who offered their rehearsal spaces. We were extremely grateful to Jef Sparkes and the Acceler8 Band in Crewe who had made arrangements to house Foden's from the start of March."

We're delighted to be able to return to the venue that provided such a stable home to inspire us to so much success between 1995 and 2016. A new chapter has begun in our Sandbach historyMark Wilkinson

Back to old home

However, the band was recently informed that their former base at Moston in Sandbach which had been gutted by fire that forced the band's move in 2016 to Bradwall Hall had been restored and following a sale was now available to be leased.

Mark said that the band acted quickly and are now back at a premises that offers them security and excellent acoustics as they prepare for their European challenge in Stavanger in May.

"We're delighted to be able to return to the venue that provided such a stable home to inspire us to so much success between 1995 and 2016. A new chapter has begun in our Sandbach history."
