The 30th edition of the Fermanagh/Tyrone Brass Band Summer School (FTBBS) looks set to be the most popular yet after organisers informed 4BR that it has reached its 100% capacity limit.
The course which takes place in Enniskillen in Northern Ireland, attracts participants from across the globe to work with Musical Director Garry Cutt and his tutor team that includes Tom Smith, Dewi Griffiths, Owen Farr, Amy Ewen, Mick Marshall, and Les Neish.
Delighted
A spokesman told 4BR: "We are delighted that once again we have topped our previous record with our comprehensive programme of workshops, tuition, solo and ensemble playing, concerts and plenty of fun.
The course enjoys a great connection with the community of Enniskillen, offering a wonderful opportunity for participants to not only take part in the course but also enjoy a mini holiday with family and friends."
Extended reach
2025 saw the FTBBSS extend its reach with a special Besson Brass Weekend in County Limerick which attracted 68 delegates from 26 countries working alongside Owen Farr, Les Neish, and Stephen Crooks culminating in a finale concert at the stunning St. Mary's Cathedral.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Besson Brass for their continued and generous support over the past 13 years, enabling us to offer grassroots education, encourage new brass players, and connect brass musicians across IrelandOrganisers
