Rothwell Temperance has been busy building up its player strength ahead of its Yorkshire Championship Section title assault in Huddersfield in March.
Quartet of signings
The band will look to return to the Royal Albert Hall for the first time since 2022 under the baton of MD David Roberts boosted by the arrival of a quartet of new signings.
It was recently announced that Louie Anderson had returned on soprano cornet alongside Matthew Reasbeck on solo euphonium and the Eb tuba pairing of Ed Hodkin and Jim Hartley.
Tuba share
Ed and Jim will be sharing the position following the departure of long-serving Andy Goldfinch.
Ed helped the band to five Yorkshire Area victories across four different sections during the 1990s and 2000s and was part of the band that won the All England International Masters title in 2006.
Speaking about his return Ed said: "I'm thrilled to be back and sharing this role with James. I spent many happy years here at RTB."Jim added: "I'm really looking forward to rejoining Rothwell. I have always considered it as my band."
Sop and euph
The band has also recently welcomed back Matthew Reasbeck on euphonium and Louie Anderson on soprano after enjoying a tenure at Yorkshire rivals City of Bradford.
He stated: "I'm really pleased to be returning at such an exciting time and I'm looking forward to the year ahead!"
