Brass Bands England (BBE) has announced that the nomination process for its annual awards will open on Friday 31st January.
The BBE Awards are designed to recognise those individuals and organisations in the banding world that have made an exceptional contribution to brass banding — from tireless dedication to imaginative projects and collaborations.
Changes
This year BBE has made some changes to the nominations process. The 'Outstanding Contribution Award' will now be selected by a board of individuals, in a similar vein to its 'Lifetime Achievement Award'.
Following feedback around its 'Young Bandsperson Award', a new 'Rising Star Award' has been created for those under 18.
Categories
The six categories that will be open to nominations are as follows:
Band Project of the Year
Brass Band Conductor, supported by the Brass Band Conductors' Association
