Despite the icy wind that blew through Camberley's Meadows Shopping Centre, the fantastic resilience of players from Friary Brass ensured that their warm-hearted carol playing raised £1,135 to be split between Macmillan Cancer Relief and band funds.
More than double
The amount was more than twice anything raise on a single day with Friary Chairperson David Wicks telling 4BR: "In these challenging economic times, the public's generosity was incredibly humbling.
And with two of our players currently receiving treatment for cancer, the amount raised for Macmillan was particularly satisfying, so many thanks to all those who kindly donated."
