the cooperation band has been crowned Scottish Band of the Year with section awards claimed by Kirkintilloch, Clackmannan District, Perthshire Brass and Buckhaven & Methil Miners.

The Scottish Brass Band Association has announced its five 'Scottish Band of the Year' winners for 2024.

The Championship Section award has been won by the cooperation band after they enjoyed a successful contesting year including winning the Scottish Championship in Perth.

Section honours

The First Section honours went to Kirkintilloch as they also won the First Section Scottish Championship and the Scottish Challenge Shield.

Clackmannan District's consistency throughout the year saw them claim the Second Section honours, whilst Perthshire Brass took the Third Section award. The Fourth Section award went Buckhaven & Methil Miners.

Roberts Bakery Band

January 5 • New year, new band?. We are looking to recruit a new member for our cornet team ahead of the NW Regional Area contest.. Position negotiable.. Please get in touch if you wish to become the latest member of our progressive and friendly band!


Harlow Brass Band

January 4 • We are a friendly and welcoming band who hold our own Spring and Christmas concerts. We also play at various local events throughout the year. We have vacancies for BACK ROW CORNETS, TROMBONES and PERCUSSION.


Epping Forest Band

January 3 • We are a friendly 3rd section band that have a vacancy for a solo horn to complete our line up. We perform in a variety of gigs and contests throughout the year. Our band hut is located close to Epping tube station and easy access for the M11.
