The Drighlington Band has rounded off 2024 by announcing the appointment of James McFadyen as their new Musical Director.

The Yorkshire band stated that after an extensive audition process, consisting of five equally high-quality applicants, the band was "extremely pleased"to offer James the position with immediate effect.

Ther Scotsman lives and works on the outskirts of York where he owns and runs the music publishing business, Devilish Publishing.

Drive and ethos

A respected composer and arranger, the band said that James showed the "drive and ethos"which they are seeking alongside his attention to detail in the music and the ability to communicate that to diverse audiences.
