Brass Band BlechKLANG recently held its annual Jenaer Blaserweihnacht Christmas concert.

Held at the historic Stadtkirche St. Michael, it is now available worldwide as a on-demand video until 31st December through its collaboration with AVS Medienservice GmbH.

Stunning success

This has seen the band reach new audiences in the USA to South Africa, as spokesperson Martin Feibicke told 4BR: "The event was a stunning success, with the theme of 'Joy to the World'.

Stand out moments included Paul Lovatt-Cooper's 'Christians Awake', Jan Hadermann's moving 'A Flemish Christmas', and Stephen Bulla's 'Symphonic Highlights from Frozen'."

Wonderful combination

Reflecting on the event, MD Alexander Richter told 4BR: "The concert was a wonderful combination of orchestral grandeur, chamber-music finesse and outstanding solo performances.

Our thanks go to the professional expertise of AVS Medienservice GmbH from Nuremberg in recording the event. We are incredibly fortunate to have them as partners, enabling us to share our Christmas concerts beyond Jena's borders."

Since the introduction of the streaming service in 2021, the Jenaer Blaserweihnacht has reached increasing number of audiences around the globe.
