Trumpet star Mike Lovatt will maintain his connection to the brass banding world in 2025 by being featured as the guest soloist at Eagley Band's 175th anniversary concert in Bolton's Victoria Hall in October.

Eagley MD Chris Wormald adjudicated with Mike at the recent Wychavon Championships where he accepted his invitation to perform with the band at the event.

Huge fan

Chris said: "I've been a huge fan of Mike's for over two decades. Meeting him at Wychavon was a personal thrill and I thought what could be better than to have Mike as our star soloist next year. I was delighted that he agreed and was available for our date on 4th October at Victoria Hall.

Tickets for the event will go on sale early next year.
