The 11th Innerleithen Youth Brass Band Contest recently took place at St. Ronan's School, where there was an entry of six bands from across the Borders and the Lothians region.
The adjudicator was David McLeod with the aim of the event to help promote music in a fun and supportive environment. David provided constructive feedback to all bands following their performances.
St. Ronan's Future Band claimed first place in the Preparatory Section, Maroon Brass took the Novice Section honours and Gala Youth Band topped the Development Section.
Brilliant morning
Organiser Rebecca Lindsay told 4BR: "It was a brilliant morning of music from all the young players, and we were pleased to welcome all of these youth bands to Innerleithen. The quality of the music was excellent, and it was great to see so many people come out to support the youngsters."
