There are new additions to the tuition team at the Elgar International Brass Band Summer School

The Elgar International Brass Band Summer School has announced their panel of instrumental tutors for their 2025 Summer Course.

Joining the team will be two leading stars of the recently crowned National Champion Flowers, in horn player Emily Evans and percussionist Coco Chan.

In addition, Black Dyke Band baritone player Mike Cavanagh will join the hugely respected Norwegian trombonist Grethe Tonheim, and Brighouse & Rastrick tuba player Shaun Crowther.

Expert tuition

Course Director, Carole Crompton told 4BR: "With our two band set-up we wish to give our delegates as much expert tuition and leadership as possible. We are delighted that Emily, Grethe, Mike, Shaun and Coco have joined us.

This reinforces our international outlook and musical vision of our musical team, whilst we are thrilled that Flowers Band soprano star Paul Richards will also be visiting the course in 2025 to work specifically with our soprano players and playing in our Tutors' Concert."
