The National Championship takes place in Goppingen near Stuttgart hosted by Brass Band B10.

There are not one but two National Championship events taking place this weekend.

As well as the action at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the German National Championships also take place in the Baden-Wurttembrrg town of Goppingen near Stuttgart hosted by Brass Band B10.

Friday and Saturday

It starts on Friday afternoon (October 4th) at 4.00pm local time with the Fourth Division followed by the Second Division, First Division (set-work) and Championship Division (set-work).

Saturday (5th October) sees the Youth Division (10.00am local time) followed by the Third Division, First Division (own-choice) and Championship Division (own-choice).

Gala Concert

There is a highly encouraging line-up of 15 bands this year at the Stadthalle Göppingen, all hoping to impress the international panel of jurors and audience. The event also sees a Gala Concert given by former European Champion Brass Band Bürgermusik Luzern conducted by Michael Bach.

Bands in each section must perform the prescribed set-work plus their own-choice test piece selection.

The Championship Section bands will all perform Jan Van der Roost's 'The Lost Circle'. The defending champion is 3BA Concert Band. The winning band will receive an invitation to the 2025 European Championships.
