Although the main focus of contesting attention will be aimed at Symphony Hall this coming weekend, bands are also hard at work putting in the preparation for their Cheltenham appearances on the 14th/15th September.
Time and place
On Sunday 8th September there is a chance to see how four contenders from the North of England are getting on with a 'Cheltenham Showcase' at Spennymoor Town Hall (DL16 6DG) from 3.00pm (with the doors and bar opening at 2.15pm). The music mentor for the afternoon will be Alan Fernie.
Organiser, Hugh Stephenson, President of Spennymoor Town Band told 4BR: "After the Area contest in March we were approached to consider putting on this type of event. We hope people will come along to enjoy four cracking bands who will represent the region with pride in Cheltenham."
