New trom addition at Friary Brass

Royal Albert Hall finalists add a new trombone player to their Dream ranks.

Friary Brass
Friary Brass has announced their new trombone signing

With the challenge of 'Harrison's Dream' at the Royal Albert Hall National Final on the contesting horizon, Friary Brass Band has announced the signing of Peter Fewster on trombone.

Peter started his banding in the North East with Shepherd Group Youth Band before moving to York RI Band. Whilst at university he played solo trombone for Fishburn Band as well as a variety of other ensembles from orchestral and jazz to show pit bands.

Impressed

Having recently moved south, he is excited to join the national finalists. "I've thoroughly enjoyed impressed playing with this impressive band, and I'm delighted to join."

Band Chairman David Wicks added: "Peter has been helping us out for several months now. He's a great player and we're so pleased to have him formally on board now, particularly as we prepare for a busy schedule of contest and concert events."
