The inaugural Red Admiral Music Academy entertainment contest has announced that it will be live broadcast this year thanks to a new partnership with Next Step Films.
The event on Sunday 29th September at St Michaels CE Academy in Chorley, Lancashire has attracted 52 bands to perform throughout its sections, with each hosted by a team from 4Barsrest, with Iwan Fox joined by RNCM music student Emily Nicholas.
Another dimension
Speaking about the links Academy Leader, Daniel Brooks said: "Having our contest live streamed will give another dimension to the event, enabling anyone who can't come along to watch the action on the day."
He added: "Our discussions with Next Step Films have clearly shown their commitment to supporting grass-roots organisations, and we are delighted Iwan and Emily will be on hand to do interviews and introduce the programmes of each band."
Speaking about the link, Emily said: "Having undertaken some presenting at this year's RNCM International Brass Band Festival, I was delighted to be asked. It's great to be part of bringing banding to a worldwide audience."
Thrilled
That was certainly a sentiment shared by Dan Mears of Next Step Films, who will now add another brass band event to a growing portfolio that has already seen them broadcast from the Bolsover Entertainment contest and the ConsTest competition in Birmingham.
Dan said: "We are also thrilled with this exciting partnership which will see us bring all 52 performances to audiences via our online platform nxtod.com in stunning HD quality, with exciting new ways for online audiences to engage with this amazing event."
