Blossom Hill Cards, a family business that specialises in greeting cards, artwork and gifts is finding worldwide appeal for their products.
Founder Laura Scarffe is a trained early music singer and euphonium player who trained in music at Dartington College of Arts, later completing a Masters in Sacred Music Studies at Bangor University.
She competed with Torbay Brass whilst a student and now plays with Amesbury Town Band when she has time in between raising her young son.
In 2021 she set up Blossom Hill Cards when she struggled to find a greetings card with a brass band link and wondered whether other musicians would like to send or receive cards, artwork and gifts that reflected their love for their musical hobby.
All corners of the globe
Laura told 4BR: "I felt it was an idea worth exploring — and thankfully it's become ever more successful. Brass banding takes place across the world and I'm finding that we are linking up with more and more people from all corners of the banding world."
Laura has set up her business on the Etsy Shop on-line platform, where customers can view her products and enjoy a safe and easy way to purchase them.
Try something
She added: "Brass bands and brass instruments deserve to be celebrated and recognised, and I am proud that my products play a part in that. I offer quality in the products and the service we provide customers so I hope people will take an interest and try something from us."
