Brass Bands England is ensuring that everyone is kept busy during the early part of July with several initiatives that they are hosting and supporting.

It kicks off with an opportunity to update and refresh your band's safeguarding procedures and policies with a special webinar this evening (Wednesday 3rd July) at 6.00pm

Proms in the Park

The wonderful 'Proms in the Playground' starts on Monday 8th July all across England, spanning a three-week period of the school term from 8th — 26th July.

The scheme aims to connect brass bands with schools, creating mutually beneficial relationships that will get young people excited about brass banding, by encouraging and supporting bands to perform in their local school playground.

Keep in Thyme

The second round the innovative 'Elevate' programme sees Weymouth Concert Brass Band collaborate with composer and analogue synth specialist Rebecca Denniff at Radipole Park and Gardens in Weymouth (DT3 5EZ) on Sunday 14th July (2.00pm)

The composition has taken inspiration from the herbs and plants found in the band's local area and will be performed against a wonderful backdrop.
