Fife to welcome 16 bands for festival day of entertainment

Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline will host 16 bands competing for the Fife Brass Band Festival entertainment title.

  The Fife contest takes place on Saturday 27th April

4BR has been informed that the Fife Brass Band Festival will be held this year at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, on Saturday, April 27th.

20 minute programmes

The Open Entertainment Contest will kick off at 9.30am with the first of 16 bands from all sections taking to the stage to showcase their a 20-minute own-choice entertainment programmes.

The adjudicator is Helen Douthwaite-Teasdale, with the entertainment element in the hands of Madelaine Baker and Jill Gillespie. The compere for the day is compere Susan Chown.

Come along

A spokesperson told 4BR: "It promises to be a great day of music making, so please come along and enjoy the bands.

We should be wrapped up 6.30pm and will make presentations and prize money to the winners and podium finishers, as well as the 'Most Entertaining Band', 'Best Soloist'."
