The Brass Band Conductors' Association (BBCA) will be heading to Warwick Arts Centre this weekend (Sat 17th February) to work with the UniBrass Foundation as part of their annual UniBrass Championships.
It will see BBCA representatives observe the performances, with conductors having the opportunity to meet with a BBCA representative to discuss seek comments and helpful feedback on their conducting.
Teaming up
Speaking of the partnership BBCA Chair, James Holt said: "I'm delighted that Matt Ryan (last year's winner of the BBCA conduction competition) and BBE Exec member Stuart Black will be teaming up with Unibrass this year.
This partnership gives BBCA the chance to work with participating conductors as they make their way through their musical journey."
He added: "We do not profess to have all the answers but are here to provide support and stimulate conversation to best assist any conductor.
I'm keen for the Association to be supporting events such as this one and offering all we can to the development of conductors."

Collaboration
In response, Sidney Pycroft, Chair of the UniBrass 2024 Organising Committee added: "We are delighted to be working with the BBCA again. After a successful collaboration at UniBrass 2023, it is great to be able to offer this opportunity for feedback and growth to even more conductors and bands this time.
We are grateful to the BBCA for their involvement in providing a fantastic opportunity for growing young conducting talent and one which we hope our participants will appreciate again this year."
