BBE to host repertoire panel discussion at RNCM Festival

The future of brass band repertoire in an increasingly diverse society will be the topic for panel discussion at the forthcoming RNCM International Brass Festival in Manchester.

Brass Bands England (BBE) is to present a panel discussion entitled, 'The future of brass band repertoire in an increasingly diverse society' at the forthcoming RNCM International Brass Festival in Manchester.

It will take place on Sunday 28th January at 4.45pm in the Carol Nash Recital Room. The event will be chaired by Kenny Crookston, CEO of BBE.

The panel guests will be:

Dr. Patrick Herak (President of the North American Brass Band Association and co-founder of the Dublin Community Bands)

Lucy Pankhurst (Multi award-winning composer and arranger)

Andrea Price (Composer, arranger, educator, conductor and percussionist)

Sandy Smith (Composer, arranger and member of the Kapitol Promotions National Championships Music Panel)

Adam Taylor (composer, conductor who will lead Freckleton Band in BBE's first 'Elevate' performance)

Speaking about the event, Kenny Crookston told 4BR: "Brass Bands England is delighted to be able to support the RNCM International Brass Festival.
