The Broxburn & Livingston Band has announced the appointment of Jim Bone as its new Resident Musical Director.
Experience
The vastly experienced bass trombonist gained his degree from the Royal Northern College of Music, followed by a Masters from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
He has conducted various groups including the Orchestra at the East Glasgow Music School, as well as being involved in Broxburn's own Future Brass initiative for the past six years.
A spokesperson said: "Jim is delighted with this appointment and the band are looking forward to our continued work with him as part of our conducing team."

The band has also announced that in preparation for the forthcoming Band Supplies Scottish Challenge contest in Perth in November, that they will be linking up with Andrew Duncan as Professional Conductor to work alongside Jim.
The principal tuba for the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, enjoys a busy schedule as a freelance conductor, arranger and composer and has won the 'Best New Arrangement' prize at the Brass in Concert Championships on six occasions.
