There has been a change in the set-works that are to be used in the Intermediate and Development Sections of the forthcoming Scottish Brass Band Association Festival of Brass.

Intermediate Section

The event takes place on Sunday 26th November in Perth Concert Hall and will now see SBBA request bands in the Intermediate Section of its Youth Championships perform any piece from 'Spirituals' (arr. Stephen D. Wood): Edition No.192 of the Junior Band Series, published by Obrasso-Verlag.

Illness

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The change in music and publisher has had to be made because of illness of Nigel Durno, the proprietor of Just Music, publisher of the original set test pieces to whom SBBA extends best wishes for a speedy recovery."

The contest organisers have also lifted the age limit for over-age players in the youth bands competing in the Senior and Premier Sections of the championships.
