The 11th Fermanagh & Tyrone Brass Band Summer School recently came to an end after three days of music making and fun.
Delegates from all over the island of Ireland enjoyed workshops, rehearsals and tuition from Course Leader Ian Porthouse and his team of tutors working on a wide variety of repertoire including Goff Richards' enjoyable test-piece, 'Oceans'.
There was also the usual testing sight reading session — this year on 'Lake of the Moon' by Kevin Houben.
Wonderful course
Course coordinator Stephen Crooks told 4BR: "It was another wonderful course encompassing so much in such a short space of time. Working with Ian and his team brought real inspiration."
In addition to the usual hard work the participants also joined in with the annual BBQ and tutor quiz with the 1st Old Boys Tribute Team taking home the sponsored prize from K&M stands.

Support
The soloist showcase saw the Besson supported tutors Tom Smith, Dewi Griffiths, Owen Farr, Amy Ewen, Mick Marshall, Les Neish tuba and Ronan McKee thrill everyone with their skills, whilst Ian led a conductor workshop.
Stephen added: "Although the weather didn't go in our favour for our open air concert in the centre of Enniskillen everyone still enjoyed a wonderful time. Now we already look forward to next year."
