Brass Bands England has announced its shortlists for it 2023 Awards.
Over 100 nominations came from across the brass band community for consideration in the different categories, with BBE Chairperson Michael Kilroy commenting: "A big thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate a band, performer, conductor or project.
Your contribution means that we can now celebrate their success and commitment within our community. The standard this year was, as always, incredibly high. That shows in our shortlist which is a true showcase of brass banding across the country."
Announcement
The Award winners will be announced at BBE Brass Band Conference on Saturday 7th October at the University of Huddersfield.
The Conference will include keynote speaker, composer Gavin Higgins, an exclusive Q&A with Arts Council England CEO Darren Henley, and a host of speakers and presentations on a theme of 'Heritage and Innovation'.
People are also asked to vote for their 'Band Project of the Year' (see below)
