The event has already attracted bands from across Europe.

The organisers of the German Open Brass Band Championships have informed 4BR that they extended the deadline for entries for the contest.

The event, which has already attracted bands from across Europe, takes place in Warstein-Belecke in the picturesque area of Sauerland in North Rhine-Westphalia over the weekend of the 20th-22nd October.

It is run in cooperation between the German Brass Band Association and the International Brass Festival Sauerland-Herbst.

The deadline to register interest is now 7th July.
