There will be a fine turnout of 26 bands for the Buxton Festival of Brass contest which takes place on Sunday 21st May at the wonderful Octagon Theatre in the grounds of its Pavilion Garden.
There are competitors from the North West, Yorkshire, Oxfordshire and North Wales who will try and impress the experienced adjudicator Martin Heartfield with their own-choice test-piece selections.
Delighted
NWABBA Chairperson and contest organiser Richard Milton told 4BR: "We're delighted with the level of interest this year, up from only 16 in 2022. It promises to be a great day of competitive music making, with 23 different test -pieces to enjoy."
Tickets can be purchased on the day.
