4BR is joined by conductor Allan Withington to catch up on what the future holds for him following his recent decision to step down from his long term roles as a trumpet player with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra as well as that of Musical Director of the Stavanger Band.

He talks about his 18 year association with Stavanger and his return to Manger, what conductors will explore in his 'State of Mind' summer school course in Leeuawarden with Soli Brass and his adjudication role at the forthcoming European Brass Band Championships.

Allan Withington's 'Conductor Summer School' course, entitled 'It's a State of Mind', will take place in Leeuwarden in The Netherlands from the 8th to 13th July — offering six days of intensive rehearsals with 2021 Dutch National Champion Soli Brass.
