Located in the heart of the island town Enniskillen, in Northern Ireland, the course is open to all ages and all abilities. Only minutes away from a number of high quality hotels and the friendliest of B&B's, there is also a great deal to after the music making has been completed each day, with the town renowned for its hospitality and activities.

Tutors

The Course Director is Ian Porthouse, MD of Welsh Champion, Tredegar, who is joined by cornet tutors Dewi Griffiths and Tom Smith, Owen Farr, Amy Ewen, Mick Marshall, Les Neish and Ronan McKee to ensure every instrument from soprano to percussion is covered.

After 10 successful years the course continues to grow with up to 90 participants taking part in rehearsals, sectionals, Q&A sessions and individual lessons. The course also offers the opportunity to explore new and exciting repertoire alongside more familiar works.

The short course leads towards two performances; an open-air concert in the centre of Enniskillen and closing concert which also features the tutor group in action.

Pride

Organiser Stephen Crooks told 4BR: "We pride ourselves in bringing world class tutors to the island town of Enniskillen. Due to the generous local and national sponsorship, we are able to offer the course at a low cost of just £50 and if you are travelling from further afield we can assist in finding accommodation etc.

We can also assist in accommodating larger parties, including youth bands, with various boarding facilities available.
