A memorable RNCM Brass Band Festival weekend came to an end on Sunday night with a packed audience enjoying the performance of Brighouse & Rastrick Band under the baton of Russell Gray.
It marked the final curation of the event by Artistic Director Paul Hindmarsh, although there was welcome news that it will continue in the future hosted at the RNCM.
Thanks
Speaking at its conclusion, where he thanked the staff and leadership of the RNCM under its past Principal Edward Gregson and current incumbent Linda Merrick for their unwavering support, Paul told 4BR: "It's been blast. This has become such an important event thanks to the RNCM, the bands and the performers — but especially the audience.
That they come from all over the world to hear a contemporary brass festival, is remarkable. They have given it its lifeblood for the now and for the future."
