Besson stars head to Sweden

A quintet of Besson stars will play an active part in the Swedish National Championships later this month.

Swedish
The Championships take place in Varnamo

A quintet of Besson stars will head to Sweden later this month to play an active role at their National Brass Band Championships.

David Childs, Owen Farr, Tom Smith, Les Neish and Roger Webster will head to Varnamo where they will lead a special workshop, perform with the Swedish Youth Brass Band and adjudicate in the various sections.

Great show of support

Speaking about the trip, Owen Farr told 4BR: "It's a great show of support from Besson to the brass band community in Sweden — one that will of course be strengthened at the European Championships in Malmo next year.

We are all looking forward to judging and performing and the opportunity to link up with the talented young performers of the Swedish Youth Band should be great."
