Reg Vardy host composer competition

The Reg Vardy Band performed the entries of the Durham University Brass Band Composer's Competition.

The Reg Vardy Band recently hosted the Durham University Brass Band Composer's Competition at their bandroom in Stanley.

At the invitation of Steve Robson and Lewis Wilkinson, and with the support of Brian Yates of Durham Music Shop, Resident Musical Director Chris Shanks led the band through an eclectic variety of competition entries.

Winning announcement

The winner, chosen by Steve and Lewis, will be announced at a later date and will be performed by Tredegar Band at a concert in the Mount Oswald Hub, Durham City on Sunday 20th November (2.30pm) for which tickets are available at www.musicdurham.org
