Brass Bands England (BBE) is seeking to appoint a Fundraising Manager to join its team.
4BR was informed that the post can be delivered remotely, based at the Brass Bands England headquarters in Barnsley, or as a hybrid role. Members of the team are currently based in locations across the UK.
Fundraising service
Speaking about the role, CEO Kenny Crookston told 4BR: "This role is being advertised due to the impending departure of our current Fundraising Manager Pamela Johnson.
We are grateful for everything that Pam has achieved and wish her the very best as we now look to build on her outstanding work in establishing BBE's Fundraising Service for member bands."
In response Pam added: "I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Brass Bands England and supporting the member bands. I hope that the webinar resources created and the Fundraising Service itself will serve as a solid foundation for success going forward."
Part time role
The part-time role is funded by a grant from the Backstage Trust until December 2024, with the potential to extend, subject to further funding.
BBE stated that the role provided an ideal opportunity for someone with experience working in a voluntary, arts or charitable environment, with experience of raising funds via trusts and foundations and other income sources.
They added: "Working as a key member of the Brass Bands England team, the post holder will be responsible for delivering BBE's Fundraising Service — providing advice, guidance and bid-writing support for our growing membership of brass bands.
This will include delivering cases for support and writing grant applications on behalf of member brass bands."
