The death has been announced of Nigel Boddice MBE.
A statement was issued today by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he had been an associated lecturer for the past 44 years. He passed away following a short illness on Wednesday 12th October.
They stated: "We have lost a highly respected colleague and an exceptionally talented trumpet player and conductor — a true and generous musician and gentleman who touched the lives of almost everyone in the building and who has influenced the careers of brass musicians throughout Scotland and beyond for generations."
