Carlton Main Frickley Colliery will kick off the 2022/23 Leeds 'Best of Brass' series of concerts at Morley Town Hall on Saturday 22nd October (7.30pm).
Under the direction of MD, David Purkiss the Yorkshire band will showcase an entertaining programme that embraces music from Earth, Wind and Fire to Eric Ball.
Also featured will be several the band's superb soloists, with principal cornet Seb Williams performing the famous Harry James 'Trumpet Concerto'
Bit of everything
Speaking about the forthcoming concert, he said: "The audience can expect a bit of everything! There will always be something for everyone with Carlton Main — with music that is accessible and highly entertaining."
Seb returned to the band in late 2021 after enjoying tenures at Grimethorpe and Fairey and has enjoyed every moment since. "There is a great camaraderie and team-spirit with the band, built on great performance experiences such as playing at the recent British Open."
