The latest Band Supplies 4barsrest Rankings show some significant movements throughout following the first phase of the busy autumn contesting season.
Brighouse and Rastrick's first British Open win in 44 years sees it move into 3rd place, while Aldbourne's first 'frame' position in Birmingham sees the band move into the top 10 for the first time ever — also marking a first for the West of England Region with two bands in the top bracket!
National Championship success for Stannington (1st Section), Campbeltown Brass (2nd), Skelmersdale (3rd) and Dobcross (4th) saw these bands all move up significantly, while the winners of the other contests held since the last update were:
West of Scotland Entertainment — won by Dalmellington
Dr. Martin Wainstones Cup — won by Hepworth
Swiss Open — won by Brass Band Berner Oberland
Queensland State Championships — won by Brisbane Excelsior

Foden's defends its National title at the Royal Albert Hall in a couple of weeks' time, when it will hope to further impact on Cory's rankings lead, but with six top-10 bands in the field competition is sure to be keen. The next update will follow the London event, so we should see substantial changes in the rankings after the usual thrills and spills!
