Market Rasen Band has started a successful player recruitment drive.

Joining the cornet section after an absence of over 4 years is a former band chairman David Picksley who makes a welcome return to the back row cornet section.

Meanwhile, Darcy Christie comes in on first horn after enjoying spells with the likes of Youth 2000, Foss Dyke and Corby Silver. Also joining is the vastly experienced John Hill on second baritone.

Great start

Commenting on the appointments, Musical Director Ian Knapton said: "I was under no illusion when I accepted the role what a massive recruitment drive was needed, and this is a great start.

All three are super players and show that we are moving in the right direction."
