Symphony Hall in Birmingham has reiterated its support of the banding movement with the news that tickets for its own Brass Gala to be held on the day after this year's British Open Championship are now on sale.
The popular event will feature newly crowned European Champion Cory, as well as Black Dyke, whilst a special pre-Gala Concert performance will be given by the National Childrens' Band of Great Britain.
Delighted
Chris Proctor, Head of Programme — B:Music told 4BR: "After a jubilant weekend in both venues at B:Music celebrating the European Brass Band Festival, I'm delighted that we're able to bring the newly crowned champion Cory Band, and Black Dyke together again for the annual Brass Gala at Symphony Hall on 11th September."
He added: "As part of our ambition at B:Music to support talent development and to continue to support the brass band community, we're also very proud to collaborate with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain in their 70th anniversary year.
We are delighted to present a pre-concert performance in our new performance space at Symphony Hall and will be providing free tickets for all of the young performers to then experience the sheer might of two of the world's top brass bands in one of the world's best concert halls."
