Megan Newbery, the principal cornet of the National Youth Band of Great Britain is to be the featured soloist in a special concert being held this weekend (7th May) in North Devon.

The event hopes to commemorate the lives of people have passed away during Covid-19 and who, due to restrictions meant that their families could not attend funerals or services.

A Celebration of Lives

South Molton Town Band and Barnstaple Male Voice Choir have therefore come together for the event entitled, 'A Celebration of Lives' to give an opportunity to remember and celebrate those lost but not forgotten.

Included in the concert will be the world premiere of 'Fanfare, Hymn and Farewell', a brand new composition by composer Clive Thomas to commemorate the life trombone player, John Adlam, who sadly passed away during the Covid-19 period.
