The funeral of the acclaimed conductor Richard Evans will take place on Monday 16th May commencing at Longton St Andrew's Church, Liverpool Road, Longton (PR4 5AA).
The service will take place at 11.00am.
His remarkable life will be celebrated in full with the service being broadcast via zoom. In the past few days the mark he made on the wider musical world was acknowledged by an obituary entry in The Daily Telegraph newspaper which referenced his connection to a number of bands, including Wingates and Leyland as well as his commitment to youth and his importance as a figure within the banding movement.
