Kirsty Abbotts is the latest high profile performer to announce that they have ended their association with the Geneva Group instrument manufacturers.
Regarded as one of the finest and most popular cornet players in the UK banding movement, Kirsty joined the company in 2020 as a Development & Performance Artist accompanied by the news that she would perform on its Heritage cornet model developed by her mentor Phillip McCann.
For over 19 years Kirsty was the acclaimed principal cornet of Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band before moving to the same role with Hammonds Band in October 2021.
Thanks
Kirsty told 4BR: "I have informed Geneva that it is with regret that I leave my role with the company. I thank them for the opportunity to once again work alongside Phillip and will honour my existing commitments. I wish Geneva Group well for the future."
Phillip McCann announced his departure from Geneva Group earlier this week.
