The Brass Band Conductors' Association (BBCA) has confirmed the adjudicating panel for the live final of their flagship Conducting Competition.

The event will be held at Eccles Town Hall on June 18th and will see the shortlisted candidates demonstrate their conducting skills at the helm of both the Eccles Borough and Hammonds Bands.

Guest adjudicator

The organisers have also announced that Paul Hindmarsh, Artistic Director of the RNCM Brass Band Festival and founder of the Brass Band Heritage Trust will be a guest adjudicator.

The Chairman of the European Brass Band Association's Music Commission is no stranger to the event which has benefitted from his insight in the past.

Aspiring

Speaking about the forthcoming event, BBCA President Russell Gray told 4BR: "I'm delighted that our competition is once again taking place. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring conductors to come together and get positive feedback on their performance."

Joining Paul on the judging panel is David Thornton, the Musical Director of Grimethorpe Colliery Band.

The closing date for entries is Saturday 30th April.
