National Youth sticks to principals

The talented young players who will fill the principal seats on the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain Easter Course have been announced.

The band is currently rehearsing at Harrogate Ladies College

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is currently enjoying its Easter Course at Harrogate Ladies College under the baton of Dutch conductor Irene Anda and guest soloist, Grethe Tonheim.

After the traditional round of auditions, the following players have been rewarded with principal seats in the band.

Principals

Cornet: Megan Newbery
Soprano: James Gray
Flugel: Phoebe Mallinson
Horn: Daniel Marsh
Baritone: Imogen Fewster
Euphonium: Harry Stubbs
Trombone: Adam Warburton
Bass Trombone: Marek Werner
EEb Bass: Henry Kay
BBb Bass: Nathaniel Wardroper-Hughes
Percussion: Jordan Ashman

Concerts

The 2022 course will be rounded off by two concerts â€” the first a 70th anniversary Alumni Reunion at Harrogate Ladies College on Friday 15th April, followed by the Youth Band itself in concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday 16th April at 7.00pm.
