National Youth sticks to principals

The talented young players who will fill the principal seats on the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain Easter Course have been announced.

  The band is currently rehearsing at Harrogate Ladies College

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain is currently enjoying its Easter Course at Harrogate Ladies College under the baton of Dutch conductor Irene Anda and guest soloist, Grethe Tonheim.

After the traditional round of auditions, the following players have been rewarded with principal seats in the band.

Principals

Cornet: Megan Newbery
Soprano: James Gray
Flugel: Phoebe Mallinson
Horn: Daniel Marsh
Baritone: Imogen Fewster
Euphonium: Harry Stubbs
Trombone: Adam Warburton
Bass Trombone: Marek Werner
EEb Bass: Henry Kay
BBb Bass: Nathaniel Wardroper-Hughes
Percussion: Jordan Ashman

Concerts

The 2022 course will be rounded off by two concerts — the first a 70th anniversary Alumni Reunion at Harrogate Ladies College on Friday 15th April, followed by the Youth Band itself in concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday 16th April at 7.00pm.

East London Brass

January 16 • CORNET PLAYER - looking ahead to the 2026 contest season, ELB are looking for a cornet player to complete our line up. The band is ambitious and keen to further our successful 2025 season of winning the areas and promotion at spring festival.


Enderby Band

January 16 • Following our 2nd place finish at the LBBA winter contest and recent promotion to the Senior Cup for the 2026 Spring Festival, we are looking for a SOLO CORNET, a BBb BASS and PERCUSSIONISTS to complete our friendly and hardworking team.


Petworth Town Band

January 15 • Petworth Town Band have vacancies for CORNETS, BASS TROMBONE and TUBA. We are a very active band with concerts and engagements planned throughout the year.
