Eccles mark Remembrance

Eccles Borough Band pay their respects to those lost with a new on-line performance.

Eccles Borough Band
Eccles Borough Band has produced its latest online video in time for Remembrance Sunday

With bands across the UK unable to perform as part of their community Remembrance Services this year, Eccles Borough Band have come together (virtually) to pay their own tribute to something that they feel has never been more certain: That we should not forget the sacrifice made by the many for the future they would not get to witness.

Tribute

MD Mareika Grey told 4BR: "Under normal circumstances we would be proud to play at the Salford Cenotaph Remembrance service. Unfortunately we are unable to do so this year.

We therefore hope that people are able to enjoy our Remembrance tribute with our performance of Leigh Baker's arrangement of 'Mansions of The Lord'."

The performance which can be viewed on the band's Facebook page features Russell Gray leading the music before being joined by the rest of the band.
