A brand new open lyrical solo competition has been launched with the aim of helping support Cancer Research UK.
The Great Brummie Solo Contest is divided into three sections of competition which will be adjudicated by Brendan Caddy, conductor of Kibworth Band, David Taylor, Head of Brass, David Taylor and Ian Porthouse, Musical Director of Tredegar Band.

Each entrant can submit a video recording of their performance by posting the video on our Facebook page (The Great Brummie Solo Contest) at: https://www.facebook.com/The-Great-Brummie-Solo-Contest-106584251205935

The entries must be submitted between 1st January 2021 to 14th January 2021.
The entry fee is £2.50.
A live results ceremony will take place on 16th January 2021 via the Facebook page and the adjudicator's remarks will be emailed to entrant's after the results ceremony.

1st prize: certificate, gold medal and 1 hour's lesson with Brendan Caddy
2nd prize: certificate, silver medal and £20 music voucher
3rd prize: certificate, bronze medal and CD bundle

1st prize: certificate, gold medal and 1 hour's lesson with Ian Porthouse
2nd prize: certificate, silver medal and £20 music voucher
3rd prize: certificate, bronze medal and CD bundle
Open Slow Melody:
